Table overview at the outset of the action, a typical encounter battle to try out Rank & File ,from Crusader Publishing, in the SYW period. I took the British, Phil the French.

The French right, scene of fierce fighting around the village.

The French centre where victory was ultimately achieved thanks to steady infantry fire.

The British lines. The cavalry swept to victory over their French rivals, but the infantry wilted under sustained attack and heavy fire from their French counterparts.

The 'locals' seemed remarkably indifferent to it all...
